Eve (Eve Jeffers) from West Philadelphia was formally signed to Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment, she joined the team after Swizz Beatz had produced a demo tape for her in Los Angeles which caught the eye of Waah, Ruff Ryders CEO.
Eve's first platinum album 'Ruff Ryders' First Lady' has helped to put the Ruff Ryder on the map.
The album contains the first single 'Gotta Man', a hit in the singles chart that has Swizz Beatz production written all over it. The infectious track has a fitting guitar melody over a strong hip-hop beat.
Also on the album is the second single 'Love Is Blind', it has a strong subject matter which is obviously close to Eve's personal experience. It's about Eve's close friend that had bad experiences with her man, read the story in the lyrics.
Eve's next single was to be 'Maniac', again another infectious Swizz Beatz produced 'party style' track. The album comes to an end on Eve's favourite track on the album 'Heaven Only Knows', a slow rap/rnb track that is purely performed from the heart.
